A lot of Americans are obsessed with celebrities. Why not become a celebrity yourself. Don’t you deserve it? You need a goal, direction. Why not make that a goal. The journey will be fruitful even if you never actually reach that goal. You might even change goals on your way. But the path towards becoming a celebrity is not a bad path to be on.

Think about the things you need to master in order to make yourself into a celebrity: You need a talent, or a skill, or certain education. You need marketing. And you need persistence.

When we think of celebrities many of us immediately conjure up stars of entertainment. But celebrity status is allocated to those who are in the news for a variety of reasons. Certainly some celebrities are known for their performance talents. But in fact there are celebrities who are politicians, scientists, and business tycoons.

More people should ask themselves, “Why be an entrepreneur?” If they did they would see that entrepreneurs are the most important people in the world. In fact,  entrepreneurs will save the world.

Maybe not you all by yourself. But entrepreneurs as a group are driven individuals and organizations who provide goods and services that the rest of humanity wants. That makes you the ONLY people who matter! Politicians, philanthropists, news media, and entertainment celebrities–they’re all just narcissists. And the zealous protestors? They’re speed bumps on the autobahn of commerce!

Entrepreneurs forge bonds across political and cultural boundaries by promoting products that people actually want. And you are continually improving those products, making them smaller, faster, cheaper, higher quality, more accessible, more dazzling.

Believe me: Entrepreneurs will save the world.
